Elegie

Piano Solo, Piano Solo with Orchestra

Elegie (piano solo) by Alexander Peskanov.

Elegie is Peskanov tribute to his beloved first piano teacher, Rosalia Molodietzkaya. She was his inspiration for becoming a concert pianist and composer. This piece is introspective, and expresses a longing for those who have passed on. This piano solo version could be played with or without orchestra accompaniment. Elegie has been also transcribed as a piano duet (4-hands).
