From the composer… “My wife and I have five children and before each one’s birth we would try to guess what they would look like. Trying to depict their portrait, we imagined the face of a happy, carefree child. Looking at pictures of ourselves as children helped us to paint this picture a little more clearly. This piece is a sentimental journey back into our childhood–the childhood that now extends into the lives of our children.”
