Prelude “Posthumous” is dedicated to my late friend, Scott Beard, a gifted musician, devoted piano teacher, and a truly gentle human being. Upon learning of his sudden passing, the composer sat the piano, overwhelmed with emotion, and composed this work as a heartfelt tribute to his friend’s life, his friendship, and the memory he left behind.
