The ascending and descending passages in Peskanov’s Space Fantasy reflect the movements of objects as they float freely in space. Phrasing with a smooth legato and creating long lines are both essential to the interpretation of this work. Good pedaling is also necessary in achieving the acoustical effect of space – adding another dimension!
